BCP Council Short Breaks for children and young people with SEND

The BCP Council Short Breaks scheme provides activities for children and young people aged 0 to 19 years with special educational needs/disabilities, in a supportive and fun environment.

All sessions are supported by a high ratio of experienced and friendly staff who will ensure children and young people are happy and safe, so that parents can take time out in confidence. Children and young people are able to try out new things, have fun and make new friends.

You can 'take a break' outside of your child or young person’s normal school hours. This could be in the evening, a weekend or overnight.

A range of breaks are available to suit children and young people with different needs, so there really is something for everyone.

A review of the BCP Council Short Breaks offer is currently being undertaken and we will keep you updated. The Statement is also in the process of being updated into a single statement for BCP Council.

Why come to Short Breaks?

We have different activities to choose from such as arts and crafts, activity days (on the beach in the summer!), swimming, archery, gym & trampolining, watersports etc.

You can have a say about the sort of activities you would like to do in the future.
