5-19 Early Help Services for School Age Children and Young People (Poole)

5-19 Early Help Services provide one to one support to Children, Young people and Families in Poole whose needs are not met by universal services (such as school or GP) but who are not eligible for specialist services such as Social Care or the Youth Offending Service.

Family Outreach Workers support families who have children aged between 5-19 years and who live in Poole. They offer information and support to parents/carers on numerous issues including parenting strategies and advice on routines and boundaries, housing worries, family relationships, and staying safe both for adults and children/young people.

School Attendance Workers offer a service to families and pupils who attend Poole schools from Reception through to Year 11. They will work with schools to monitor pupils' attendance and when needed, support the pupils and their family members, liaising where appropriate with other professionals and agencies, to promote regular school attendance.

Adolescent Support Workers and Youth Mentors offer one-to-one support to young people.
