I'm a fully accredited and Ofsted registered childminder and member of PACEY (Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years), located in the Muscliff area of Bournemouth. I work with my husband Simon who has been DBS checked and declared as suitable to work with children by Ofsted. We have three daughters aged 10, 8 and 3 and we share our home with two friendly cats and a rabbit. We also keep pet chickens in the garden. Prior to becoming a childminder I was a teaching assistant working with children with autism and leader of a weekend respite club for children with a wide range of learning disabilities. I have completed many training courses and workshops specific to working with early years children and I am a fully qualified First Aider. I have a BA (Hons) in Childhood & Youth Studies and have gained Early Years Teacher Status. I provide excellent quality childcare in a fully inclusive and welcoming home from home environment. I provide lots of fun activities to enjoy in the home and garden and I also make the most of our local parks, beaches, rivers, libraries, children's groups and classes. I provide balanced meals, snacks and drinks throughout the day and actively promote and encourage healthy choices. I am happy to discuss any special requirements with parents in order to fully accommodate all children in my care.
