Delph Woods

Delph Woods is a 24 acre site with unsurfaced woodland paths, a shallow stream with footbridges and a grassy area opposite a cricket ground.
Types of habitat
Mixed woodland, ponds, ditches and streams.
What to see
There's a 1.5 mile woodland trail, marked by yellow posts, which leads you past a 200 year old oak tree, along a shallow stream with footbridges. You may spot tree-nesting birds and bats here, including the rare Bechstein's bat.
Parking
Delph Woods has limited free parking that you can reach from Gravel Hill (A349) next to Blackwater Drive. There are 2 car parks; a small one near the cricket ground and another in the woodland at the end of the lane.
Dogs
Your dog must be on a short lead during bird breeding: 1 March to 31 July every year, and when livestock is near. Remember to keep your dog under close control and to pick up after it.
