All things must rest to grow!
Last year, local self-taught artist Carmel De’Lisser’s (@my.own.catharsis_) interactive installation, The Wintering, transformed the Main Gallery into an organic woodland over the winter months, creating a space for visitors to “exhale.” You can read more about Carmel’s exhibition in her interview with Lighthouse HERE.
This winter, our creative community has come together to celebrate her legacy, transforming the space once more into a creative sanctuary over the festive season with workshops, events and activities taking place in the burrow.
The exhibition features the artwork of 23 visual artists with a connection to Dorset in response to the theme: Burrow.
Expect to see artwork that demonstrates an awareness of space, experiments with scale, explores seasonal themes, uses creative health and wellbeing to encourage visitors to look inward, and uses sustainable processes and materials to bring the outside world in.
