Youth writers (ages 12-16) can explore their imagination in this free creative workshop in Grade II Upton House.

Led by Baz, the Upton Country Park Writer in Residence and The Story Works’ Young Poet Laureate for Bournemouth, young writers will discover how to express themselves and write about the things that matter to them.

No experience is needed to join the workshop. The session will start with a short icebreaker and poetry game and lead into some writing exercises.

There will also be two writing exercises for our youth writers to express their own thoughts and learn how to construct a poem.

Please pack some snacks and refreshments, water will be available. You can also pre-order a lunch bag put together by our Tea Rooms team with a 10% discount. Please indicate on the booking form if you would like us to send you more information.
