Inside Out Dorset 2025 - Moors Valley Country Park and Forest

Inside Out Dorset 2025 - Moors Valley Country Park and Forest logo

Inside Out Dorset is an international outdoor arts festival that returns to wow audiences this September.

Experience a joyful thought-provoking sound trail that investigates our relationship to trees.

Canopy: 24 ideas about trees, from Dorset artist Lorna Rees, is an exciting installation that will see 24 sonic seed pods suspended from the trees in the forest.

Following its premiere at the National Memorial Arboretum in July, Canopy will create a new sound world beneath the trees at Moors Valley.

Each seed pod will house one of 24 different human responses to nature with contributions from a range of people including scientists, artists, folk musicians, arborists and local school children.

The schools that have contributed are Malmesbury Park Primary School, Christchurch Junior School, St Ives Primary School, and St Katharine’s CE Primary School.
Inside Out Dorset promises extraordinary events in extraordinary places.
