Discover a hidden world of strange shops, mysterious characters and unexpected stories in Bournemouth town centre.

The Shopkeepers is a free augmented reality experience by Bournemouth artist Lisa Moro. Using your own phone and the free Hoverlay app, explore Old Christchurch Road and uncover a series of fictional businesses that appear digitally at real locations.

Perfect for families with older children and teenagers, The Shopkeepers combines storytelling, art and technology to encourage visitors to look at familiar streets in a completely new way. The trail can be explored at your own pace and makes an unusual family activity during the school holidays or at weekends.

Funded by Arts Council England, the experience is free to enjoy and runs for the next six months.
