Join us for the original light show with astronomer, Kate Earl. A wonderful opportunity to be part of an evening packed with meteors, the Moon, and the Milky Way. Bring a picnic chair or mat, and a blanket to keep warm whilst we gaze in awe at the universe. There will be stories of our prehistoric ancestors and, how, under the same sky, they would have also looked up in wonder.

There’s also a telescope to look at the Moon when it rises around 10pm. 

The Perseid meteor shower peaks around 12-13 August, so here's a gentle invitation to spend a little time beneath the stars. Take a blanket, a chair, and perhaps a flask of tea to your garden, balcony, favourite outdoor spot, or anywhere you can see the night sky above you. Then simply look up and see what appears.

Think of it as your very own Perseids fringe event. No need to book for this one. If you glimpse a shooting star, spot a satellite, or simply enjoy a few quiet moments beneath the sky, we'd love to hear about it.
