Walking is an everyday activity that is good for our physical, mental, and social wellbeing and described as the perfect way to exercise.

BCP Health Walks offers regular guided walks across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole taking in some of the most picturesque locations, including Upton Country Park, Queens Park and Kings Park, Highcliffe Castle and Steamer Point Nature Reserve, covering around 40 miles of diverse coastline, parks, open and natural spaces, beaches and towns. With new places to discover and explore, it is also a great way to meet new people.

Our walks are between 30-60 minutes, free to join, and led by experienced trained volunteer walk leaders. Most walks are short in length, typically between one and two miles on firm level ground. Grades may vary.

  • Grade 1 - typically 30 minutes and suitable for walkers of all abilities on generally flat surfaces.
  • Grade 2 - usually between 30 to 60 minutes and may include some moderate slopes, steps, uneven surfaces and possibly stiles.
  • Grade 3 - suitable for people looking for more challenging walks, generally 45 to 90 minutes and may include steeper slopes, steps, uneven surfaces, and stiles.

There is no need to pre-book for any of the walks, just turn up at the meeting point detailed on the leaflet and walk with a friendly and sociable group.
