Maisie Marcantonio (Little Palms)

Little Palms – Play, Create, Explore! At Little Palms, I provide a warm, nurturing home-from-home environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore the world around them. As a small setting caring for up to three children at any one time, I am able to offer individual attention while creating a close-knit, family-like atmosphere where friendships and meaningful bonds can flourish. As a mum to my own two-year-old daughter, I understand how important it is to find childcare where your child feels happy, secure, and truly cared for. I know the trust families place in their childminder, and I strive to provide the same love and reassurance I would want for my own child. I believe childhood should be filled with curiosity, creativity, adventure, and connection. Our days combine outdoor exploration and exciting outings to places such as the library, farm, beach, country parks, and local toddler groups, alongside sensory play, stories, singing, cooking, growing our own vegetables, art, and imaginative play. Every experience at Little Palms is thoughtfully planned according to the EYFS while following each child’s individual interests and curiosity. I encourage children to learn through play, explore their surroundings, and develop independence through everyday routines, offering gentle guidance, encouragement, and support as they grow in confidence. The setting has been carefully designed to support children’s independence and wellbeing, with an open play space, cosy living area, separate sleep space, dining area with high chairs and toddler seating, and a dedicated arts and crafts area. Resources and everyday routines are accessible at toddler height, encouraging children to practise important life skills such as washing their hands, pouring drinks, and serving their own snacks. Our garden is currently being transformed into a safe, sensory outdoor space where children can explore, discover, and connect with nature, ready to reopen in September 2026. I am registered with the Tiney childminding agency, which provides me with the support of a wider childminding community while offering additional benefits to families. These include the Tiney app, where I can share regular updates and record your child’s learning journey, access to a 24/7 online GP service, including prescriptions, and specialist support for areas such as SEND. I am passionate about providing a gentle, positive start to childcare, with a focus on outdoor adventures, healthy choices, creativity, and hands-on learning. My experience as a Kumon Maths and English tutor, assisting with children’s art workshops, and my ongoing professional development reflect my commitment to nurturing not only children’s learning, but also their confidence, creativity, resilience, and emotional wellbeing. Above all, I want Little Palms to be a place children look forward to coming to — where they feel happy, loved, supported, and inspired to learn.
