Are you 16-25 years old and looking for work experience in an environmental role, something to add to your CV, or a career change to a green job?
The Parks Foundation are delivering free sessions for young adults, teaching green skills in parks across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole - no prior experience needed. With varied sessions available, develop a range of skills at our different events.
To celebrate all of your hard work so far, this session is a chance to learn from the team at Freshwater Habitats Trust about what their work entails, take part in water testing and pond dipping to identify rare species, and spend some time together with your fellow young adult rangers.
Learn about these often overlooked ecosystems from experts in the field.
A great chance to network, reflect on the work you have put in, and celebrate the experience you've gained.
Wearing sturdy footwear is essential. Please dress appropriately for the weather and some hard work - we will be heading off of the path so trousers are recommended.
Bring a packed lunch with you, along with water and suncream. Unfortunately toilets and facilities will not be available during the session.
This event is for those who have previously attended our Ranger Work Experience sessions. You will be issued with an event specific password, if you have attended enough sessions.
To register your interest and gain full access to our ranger sessions, or if you have any questions, contact us on: ranger@parksfoundation.org.uk - booking is required.
This session is aimed at young people who must be able to attend and work independently. In some sessions we will be using tools and working with other members of the public, so the attendees will need to be responsible for themselves and their conduct whilst attending.
