Teens Art: Empowering Neurodiverse Expression - Forest Arts Centre

Teens Art: Empowering Neurodiverse Expression - Forest Arts Centre logo

Join us for a one-of-a-kind creative workshop designed especially for neurodiverse teenagers aged 12-17. This inclusive, supportive space invites teens to explore the rich world of visual storytelling, emotional expression, and collaborative art-making, all leading to the creation of a group zine that celebrates their unique perspectives.

Art has the power to say what words sometimes can’t. In this workshop, we’ll explore how colour, mark-making, and character design can express complex emotions — from joy and calm to anxiety or overwhelm, in a way that’s personal and powerful.

There’s no right or wrong way to take part! The aim? To co-create a collaborative zine – a handmade mini-magazine that gives voice to each participant’s emotional world in their own visual language.
