We provide a range of programmes designed to support families with children aged 0 to 5 year olds including speech, language and communication development and understanding the importance of brain development through effective home learning strategies.
Please see the sections below for further information on our programme offer. Access to programmes requires completion of a request for support form which can be found in the useful websites section. We will then review your application to see if you meet the eligibility criteria for the programme. For further information please contact your local Family Hub.
All programmes delivered in the family hubs have a home learning element, with resources and strategies provided, so that parents and carers can put what they have learnt into practice and reflect on how it went.
Our family hubs provide a range of activity sheets and video's, giving you lots of fun and educational things to do with your child at home.

Baby and me is an 8-week programme for babies under 12 months of age. It is a programme that has a weekly theme/focus that allow parents /carers to learn and explore with key stages of their baby's development. Each week has a different theme with information, activities and handouts to help support and empower parents/carers. It is opportunity to meet other families and play and explore with your baby.
A group for families focusing on babies up to 12 months old. The group includes topics such as tummy time, sleeping, reading, singing, grasping, reaching, weaning peek a boo games, crawling and standing. This group aims to give parents and carers a firm foundation for family life with a small baby. This runs at Boscombe hub.
Is an inclusive group designed for children from the crawling stage up to preschool age. Each session is thoughtfully themed to create opportunities for both children and parents to explore, learn, and grow together in a fun and informative environment. Every session has a clear purpose and features meaningful, hands-on activities that support the theme.
Peep Learning Together is an evidence-based programme that supports the home learning environment. It helps parents and carers make the most of the learning and play opportunities in everyday life, so that children become confident communicators and learners, and are ready for school when the time comes. This is a 6-week course.
These sessions give you and your child lots of opportunities to explore, play and learn together. For children aged 0 to 5 years term time, 0 to 8 years in half term.
