Textured Painting (Ages 5-10) - Forest Arts Centre

Textured Painting (Ages 5-10) - Forest Arts Centre logo

Join us for a joyful, sensory-rich painting session designed especially for children aged 5 to 10, a space where creativity is celebrated, mess is encouraged, and every texture tells a story.

Whether your child loves to swirl, splatter, layer or simply squish paint between their fingers, this session is about embracing the process, not the final product.

What to Expect

  • Tactile painting materials
  • Guided prompts to spark imagination, with plenty of freedom to follow their own ideas
  • A calm, inclusive space where noise and energy are welcome, not corrected
  • No expectations, no judgment — just creative exploration at their own pace

What to Bring

  • Clothes that can get messy
  • An open mind and a willingness to explore

Description:

Children with ADHD often thrive in environments that engage the senses and allow for movement and spontaneity. This workshop supports creative expression without the pressure of outcomes, helping children feel seen, celebrated, and empowered through art.

This workshop honours the many unique ways children experience and engage with the world, particularly those with ADHD or sensory sensitivities. Through hands-on exploration of textures, colours, and movement, we invite young artists to express themselves freely in a supportive, pressure-free environment.
